Under the Treaty of Srirangapatna (1792) ending the Third Anglo-Mysore War, Tipu had to cede half his territory, pay heavy war indemnity, and give sons as hostages, but he did NOT accept the Subsidiary Alliance (which came later with Wellesley in 1799).
