(a)ते स्वातंत्र्यापूर्वी व स्वातंत्र्यानंतर नियोजन आयोगाचे प्रमुख होते. / He chaired the Planning Commission before and after independence.
(b)त्यांनी अनेकदा भारतीय विज्ञान परिषदेचे अध्यक्षपद भूषवले. / He presided over many sessions of Indian Science Congress.
