आकृती A व B ही चौरस क्षेत्रे आहेत. A चौरसाची बाजू 8 सेमी लांब आहे, तर B चौरसाचा कर्ण 8 सेमी लांबीचा आहे. या दोन क्षेत्रामधील फरक किती ? Figures A and B are square areas. Side of square A is 8 cm long and diagonal of square B is 8 cm long. What is the difference between the two areas ?

Area of square A with side 8 = 8² = 64. Area of square B with diagonal d = 8 is given by (d²)/2 = (8²)/2 = 64/2 = 32. Difference = 64 - 32 = 32.
