व्यक्तीचे भारतीय नागरिकत्व संपुष्टात येते जर Indian citizenship of a person can be terminated if
(a)अ. व्यक्तीने स्वेच्छेने अन्य देशाचे नागरिकत्व स्विकारले तर. / A. A person voluntary acquire the citizenship of some other country.
(b)ब. व्यक्तीस नोंदणीद्वारे नागरिकत्व मिळाल्यावर पांच वर्षांच्या कालावधीत त्यास 18 महिन्यांचा कारावास झाला असेल तर. / B. A person who has become a citizen through registration is sentenced to imprisonment for 18 months within five years of his registration.

Indian citizenship can be terminated by termination, deprivation, or renunciation under the Citizenship Act, 1955. Voluntary acquisition of another country's citizenship, obtaining it through fraud, and showing disloyalty to the Constitution are grounds for termination/deprivation, while minor imprisonment after registration is not a direct constitutional ground.
